Tuesday’s Big Hair :-)

I loved my hair on Tuesday and I received a number of compliments. Its a simple style,  just a flat twist out that I pushed back with a headband.

Mini Twists

It has been way too long since I have done a post about my natural hair. I mainly share my natural hair journey on YouTube and I want the blog to about more than just my hair because there is more to me than that. Up until January, I was closely documenting my hair journey through video and pictures. However, my camera broke and I did not have anyway to take pictures until today. I did take pictures of my hair with my iPhone but trying to get pictures of the back of my head did not work well with that. But anyways here are pics of my 5 day old mini twists which are starting to shrink. I did the mini twists on Saturday on blow dried hair.

Bantu knot out on flat-ironed hair

Earlier this year I flat ironed my hair and maintaining it was a disaster.  I remember wrapping my hair the first night and thinking it would fall into the wrap the same way it did when I was relaxed, boy was I wrong. I ended up with a hot mess and wore my hair in a bun or a curly braid out. After 5 days I took advantage of the stretched hair and did mini twists. I learned from that experience and this time when I flat ironed, I decided to give my hair curl and body by doing bantu knots. Here are the results of my bantu knot out from yesterday, ignore the time/date stamp on the picture. For some reason my camera is tripping. I really loved the look and I received many compliment on my hair.
